Abstract Photography

Do you feel caged by the rules of photography? Or are you a person who doesn’t enjoy following all the rules that have been created? If yes, then Abstract photography might just be the thing for you. Abstract photography goes against the very nature of most photography rules, giving you the freedom to take a photo of anything that seizes your attention and allows you to discover your artistic nature. Abstract photography means demonstrating a visual image that does not belong to the concrete world but has been created through the use of photographic media. An abstract photograph may showcase a part of natural scene which eradicates its existential context from the viewer. It may be purposely staged to create a seemingly unreal presence from real entities, or it may involve the use of colour, light, shadow, texture, shape and form to convey a feeling, sensation or impression. The picture may be created using old- fashioned photographic equipment like a camera, darkroom or computer, or it may be created without using a camera by directly manipulating film, paper or other photographic media, including digital presentations. Abstract photography is a very wide field of its form. Several subject can become abstract depending on the way it’s shot. The best part of this zone of photography, is there are no guidelines. There are no rules about composition or framing. You are the only composer in the creation of your abstractions. But abstract photography is not a licence to do whatever you like, where the normal rules of composition don’t apply. If anything, they become even more important and accentuated. Give consideration to how you are going to order the shapes, patterns and colours within the image.

Make Art Come Alive Through Photographs

Art has a tremendous influence on various creative fields like cinema, architecture and photography; whereas they also inspire art at times! There is always a constant exchange between these fields and that’s how we are able to manifest the creativity through them. Art photography is a creative expression of an artist through the medium of photography. It tends to entail an idea or an emotion of the artist. Art photography is one of the powerful tools of an artist to address the world with his mind-blowing ideas through this unique form of art. Photographers have multiple set of tools to accentuate their artistic expression with the help of cameras, lenses, framing and the timing of a particular shot. Also, with the help of editing tools on creative software, they are able to derive and represent their art in alignment with the vision. Technological advancements in the field of photography has brought a complete change in the basic approach of photographers. Every Artist is in search of hidden potential lying within them and are madly keen to discover various art forms through the medium of photography. They feel a sense of completeness within them when they are able to express their story through an image. So, what exactly is art photography? Adding blur to images or going crazy on images doesn’t make image included in fine art photography. Best way to understand fine art photography is to observe existing fine art photographers. Learn what exactly they are trying to portray, what story they are trying to tell through that picture. See how they conveyed their ideas. You don’t necessarily need to have a degree in arts whether commercial or fine arts to be an art photographer. But you do need to think sensibly about your work and what exactly are you going to place in front of the world of art.
